Obetta Assures 16 APC Councillorship Candidates of Legislative Guidance
Hon. Chidi Mark Obetta, member representing the Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has assured the 16 APC councillorship candidates in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of his support and guidance ahead of Saturday’s council elections.
The candidates paid a courtesy visit to Obetta as part of their preparations for the forthcoming local government election.
Addressing the candidates, Obetta assured them that, if elected, he would personally guide and educate them on legislative responsibilities and effective representation.
He said his goal would be to help the councillors understand their roles, excel in their respective wards and deliver meaningful results for their constituents.
According to him, the experience he has gained in the National Assembly would enable him to provide the necessary guidance to the newly elected councillors, particularly on how to approach legislation, representation and grassroots development.
Obetta urged the candidates to remain focused and prepare themselves for the responsibilities that come with public office.
He expressed confidence in their chances at the polls, telling them that victory was within reach and encouraging them to remain committed to the people they seek to represent.
The meeting ended with renewed confidence among the candidates as they look forward to Saturday’s council elections.
