The Youths and the entire people of Akpugo Ezedike community in Uzo-uwani LGA of Enugu State,today held a grand reception to welcome the PDP Chairmanship flag bearer, Hon Barr Chijioke Ezugwu and their illustrious son, Hon prince Kingsley Tochukwu Ani who was recently elected as Uzo-uwani PDP chairman in the last LG Congress.

The entire community comprising the Youths, women,men and PDP party faithfuls proudly appreciated Gov.Mbah, saying that he remains the best, that Adada zone has never had it rosy like this in the past.

Speaking during the event, the Youth leader of Ezedike Democratic Youths, Igwe Odoh Nwodo said that the Youths and the community are happy with what the Governor has done for them, especially in zoning the Chairmanship position to Adada zone. He further stated that Hon.Barr.Chijioke Ezugwu has their support 

His words: 'all the Youths in Ezedike Democratic Youths are with Hon.Barr.Chijioke Ezugwu. 

Also speaking, is the Party Chairman,Hon. Prince Kingsley Ani, thanked God and the Governor for making this possible. He pleaded for more support to the Party and the PDP flag bearer come 21st September,2024.

In response, the PDP flag bearer, Hon.Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu thanked the people of Akpugo Ezedike community for hosting them lavishly. He harped on the importance of peaceful and harmonious working relationship with the LG party chairman who is their son. He further stated that the most important thing bothering this incoming administration is security and consequently cave the indulgence  to beg youths who indulge in committing different crimes to stop henceforth, saying his administration if elected will not tolerate any nonsense from those kidnapping and killing our citizens,saying that enough is enough ,he concluded.

Other people who spoke during the event include the party chairman of Akpugo ward,Hon Mrs Agnes Okeke, Hon.Ozota and chief Simon Aninta.

In a separate reception,the peoples Democratic party in Nkpologu ward ably led by Hon.Philip Okpe also welcomed their son who is elected as the PDP flag bearer. The event which was attended by all the new party Executives and other party stalwarts at Nkpologu.

In similar vein, different groups who also came to give supports and endorsement to Hon.Barr.Ezugwu include the 16 ward councilors of Uzo-uwani LG led by the former Leader,Hon.Philip Okoro, Representatives of Nsukka Cultural Zone for Good Governance led by by Chief Okadigwe. The group thanked the Governor and pledged  their loyalty to him while assuring their total support to Hon.Barr.Chijioke Ezugwu.

Other groups who came to show their unalloyed support to Hon.Ezugwu were Nkpologu Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Federated Association of Nkpologu Youth(FANY), Ejona Youth Association (EYAS), All the 16 ward Chairmen led by the party chairman,Hon prince Kingsley Ani,Special daughters of Uzo-uwani, and Nkpologu Ward led by the coordinating chairman of the ward Chairmen in UZLGA,Hon.Philip Okpe. They appreciated God for what he has done for us and pledged to continue to support the party in all fronts.

While reacting, Hon.Barr.Chijioke Ezugwu appreciated all the groups that have paid solidarity visit to him, promising that his administration will not fail them. He further stated that he has forgiven those who offended him and also  asked those who he may have offended to forgive him while thanking God for his blessings in his life and the people of Uzo-uwani. He appreciated the Governor of Enugu State,Gov.Peter Mbah for making it possible and concluded by reminding everyone that his campaign slogan still remains,*DIVINE MANDATE, PRAYER ANSWERED*
