 Senator Ngwu Advocates for Expanded China-Nigeria Collaborations in Enugu West

The Senate Minority Whip, Distinguished Senator Osita Ngwu, today paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Yu Dunhai, marking a significant step in strengthening the ties between his constituency and the Chinese Embassy. This visit underscores the Senator's commitment to fostering development and capacity-building initiatives in Enugu West Senatorial District.

During the visit, Senator Ngwu extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Yu Dunhai, who recently assumed his position at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Abuja. The occasion provided both leaders with an opportunity to explore strategies and deepen collaborations that will benefit the people of Enugu West.

Senator Ngwu, who was graciously received by Ambassador Yu, expressed his delight at the opportunity to meet and discuss future initiatives. He highlighted the strong relationship he had with the Ambassador's predecessor, H.E Cui Jianchun, who had played a pivotal role in facilitating various developmental programs and capacity-building projects within Enugu West.

In his address, Senator Ngwu stated, "My visit today is to welcome Your Excellency to Nigeria and to express my gratitude for the Embassy's continued support. Your predecessor, H.E Cui Jianchun, was a valuable friend to my constituency, collaborating with us in many positive ways. His efforts greatly contributed to the human capacity development in Enugu West Senatorial District."

The Senator took this opportunity to thank the Embassy for consistently including constituents from Enugu West in its empowerment and development programs. He emphasized the positive impact these initiatives have had on the community.

Ambassador Yu Dunhai, visibly pleased with the visit, commended Senator Ngwu for his proactive approach. He assured the Senator that the Embassy would continue to support the development of Enugu West, building on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor.

The Ambassador acknowledged Senator Ngwu's commendable efforts in representing his constituents effectively, particularly through various educational and developmental initiatives. He specifically mentioned the Senator's recent "Back to School" project, which provided scholarships, school supplies, and other essential materials to students in the district.
